It’s consists essentially of two intersecting spirals to transport the product, with hollow shafts and cavities on the screws, for the passage of cooling liquid; these screws are also contained in a chamber covered by cooling liquid.
The fluid usually used for cooling is water.
The screws are supported by special supports with the dust seals flushed with gas and the liquid is introduced by rotating joints.
It’s also made from parts of dust-tight, easily disassembled for cleaning.
Under construction:
- carbon steel;
- stainless steel AISI 304 or AISI 316.
